Terms of Use

Please read these Terms carefully before using Heykara. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and a resident of Nigeria to use Heykara. By registering, you confirm that you meet these requirements.
2. Your Account
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials and withdrawal PIN confidential • You must provide accurate information when registering • You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account • One account per person is permitted We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
3. The Heykara Wallet
• Funds you add to Heykara are held in a wallet managed in partnership with Paystack Payments Limited • Heykara is a budgeting tool, not a bank. We are not a deposit-taking institution and your funds are not covered by the NDIC • You may withdraw available (released) funds to a verified Nigerian bank account at any time • Minimum and maximum transaction limits may apply as set by Paystack and relevant regulations
4. Budgets and Schedules
• Budget releases occur automatically according to the schedule you set • Release timing depends on server availability and is not guaranteed to be exact to the minute • Deleting a budget returns the unreleased balance to your main wallet immediately
5. Fees
Heykara does not charge a fee for using the app. Standard interbank transfer fees charged by Paystack may be deducted from withdrawals. You will see the amount before confirming any withdrawal.
6. Prohibited Activities
You must not use Heykara to: • Launder money or finance illegal activities • Impersonate another person • Attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or disrupt our systems • Create multiple accounts to circumvent any limits or bans Violations may result in immediate account suspension and referral to law enforcement.
7. Payments and Paystack
Wallet funding and bank withdrawals are processed by Paystack Payments Limited. By funding your wallet or making a withdrawal, you also agree to Paystack's Terms of Service. Heykara is not liable for delays or failures caused by Paystack or your receiving bank.
8. Service Availability
We aim to keep Heykara available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Scheduled maintenance, technical failures, or events beyond our control may cause downtime.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Nigerian law, Heykara shall not be liable for: • Loss of funds due to your disclosure of your PIN or login credentials to a third party • Losses arising from Paystack's services or your bank's handling of transfers • Indirect, incidental, or consequential losses of any kind Our total liability to you shall not exceed the balance held in your Heykara wallet at the time of the claim.
10. Intellectual Property
All content, design, code, and trademarks in Heykara are owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the app without our written permission.
11. Account Termination
By you: You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Profile → Delete Account. Ensure you withdraw your funds first. By us: We may suspend or terminate your account without notice if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if your account shows signs of fraudulent activity.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Nigerian courts.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via in-app notification at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
